The Bollywood Brass Band is the first Indian band in Europe. Brass and drums added the famous dhol drumswidely popularized by the Dhol Foundation to an explosive mixture and festive frequently played at weddings. His repertoire consists of songs from Indian films Bollywood, bhangra (Indian folk dance of Punjab) and othermusical styles of South Asia, arranged by group members. The group emerges from a collaboration with theShyam Brass Band (brass band Shyam) of Jabulpur, one of the most famous bands from the thousandsavailable in India. Johnny Kalsi, and other players in his group dhol Dhol Foundation (rhythms of the Punjab)there is a major component. The style of the Bollywood Brass Band has evolved with a variety of melodies and rhythms of Bhangra movies, music connoted jazz and world music. Occurring mainly in streets, early years, the Bollywood Brass Band also played on stage today, combining the dynamism of the street, accompanied by instruments like the tabla, dholak, flutes and other sounds.
