Annie EbrelBRITTANY FR | Breton Traditionnal Jazz SongOne of the finest voices of the traditional and modern breton singing, inventive and pioneer. Timeless!
Coming from Lohuec in Central Brittany, Annie Ebrel has been since she was 14 years old, the ambassadress of breton musical culture in the world. With a single voice which distils with a rare smoothness all the ranges of the emotion, she clears new grounds of the Breton song. Concerts in Paris Theatre, Dibenn group and the astonishing meeting with the Italian double bass player Riccardo Del Fra (creation Flouradenn) and lately a powerful and poetic solo show (creation "A breton voice" directed by Lucas Belvaux), her kan ha diskan (song to be danced) and gwerzioù and sonioù (laments and songs to be listened to) resounded in the world (Venice, Moscow, Quebec, Galway, Barcelona, Rome, Scandinavia). After experiencing other musical worlds and mixing her melodies and her voice with instruments, rhythms and foreign harmonies, Annie Ebrel proposes us today a new repertory of traditional songs with an original group made of musicians famous for their lyricism and their talent.
